The aspiration of everyone that the Federal Collage of Education kontagora be transmuted in to Federal University of Education has become a reality. This is sequel to the visit of the assessment team that comes to quantify both human and material resources needed to take off operations. The team arrived at the University on Sunday, October 13^th 2024. It is made up of the following distinguished personality.

• Dr. Olufemi Olushola:  Represented by Mr. Yusuf Ariel Director Federal Member
• Mr. Adogi C.:   Director of Federal Collage of Education Member
• Mrs. Ochazi C.U.M:  Deputy Director I.S University Member
• Mr. Alloy C.:  Represented by Ibrahim Audo. Deputy Director NUC Member
• Engr. Tunde Olakanmi:  Deputy TETFUND Member
• Mrs. Justina Emero:  Deputy Director NUC Member
• Engr. Prosper Esumen:  Chief Geological Information Office Member
• Malam Segir Abubakar:  Special Assistant Permanent Secretary Member
• Mrs. Otakago Gloria:  Asistant Director C.F.U University.

The team was received by the acting Vice Chancellor Professor Faruk Rasheed Haruna and other members of management at the Council Chamber. While welcoming the team, the acting Vice Chancellor appreciated the Federal government for converting the Federal University of Education Kontagora to a University of Education. He stated that the collage had everything it needed to be a University of Education noting that the Institution had qualified staff most of who had PhDs in their fields of specialization while others will complete theirs soon. He added that the University had facilities as well as Educational equipment to operate optimally. He said that there were enough classrooms, lecture theatres, laboratories and other equipment’s that could favorably compete with any University in Nigeria. He wished the Members of the team success in their assignment.

 In her remarks the team leader appreciated the University Management for the warm reception she said the team came to assess the facilities available and ensured that any gap observed by the team will be final assessment.

The team went around to do on the sports assessments of the facilities in the University it visited the following places;

• The multimedia Purpose Hall
• Early Childhood Complex
• The male & female Hostels
• The old & New Library Complex
• 1000 Capacity, CBT center.
• Expanded University Clinic
• Renovated Col. Sani Bello Lecture theater and many others.

The team was not only amazed by the facilities its assessed but also impressed. It commended the acting Vice Chancellor for achieving much since he took over the mantle of leadership of the Federal College of Education Kontagora.  The team later splinted into syndicates and visited the seven schools in the University to assess facilities and the qualifications of staff. However, the team would interact with the stakeholders and Members of the immediate community by the grace of God the Minister of state for Education Hon Dr. Tanko Sununu is expected in the University on Wednesday Oct 16th 2024 we look forward to seeing him.
