Welcome to the Student Affairs Division of the Federal University of Education, Kontagora (FUEK). The Student Affairs Division is dedicated to providing comprehensive support, guidance, and resources to enhance students’ academic, social, and personal experiences during their time at the university.
Our Mandate
At FUEK, we believe that education goes beyond the classroom. The Student Affairs Division plays a crucial role in fostering a vibrant campus life that encourages holistic development, leadership, and a sense of community among students.
Key Functions of the Student Affairs Division
Student Welfare and Support:
- Addressing students’ personal, academic, and emotional concerns through counseling and advisory services.
- Providing resources for health and wellness.
Hostel and Accommodation Management:
- Coordinating on-campus housing for students.
- Ensuring a safe, clean, and conducive living environment.
Leadership Development:
- Supporting student governance through the Students’ Union Government (SUG) and other student organizations.
- Organizing leadership training and workshops to empower future leaders.
Extracurricular Activities:
- Promoting sports, cultural, and recreational activities to create a balanced student life.
- Coordinating campus events, including orientation, seminars, and social programs.
Disciplinary and Ethical Standards:
- Upholding university rules and regulations to maintain discipline and a positive campus atmosphere.
- Addressing student grievances and conflict resolution.
Career Guidance and Alumni Relations:
- Providing career counseling and workshops to prepare students for the job market.
- Facilitating connections between current students and alumni for mentorship opportunities.
